TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR DRIVER ENROLLMENT


By registering as a driver on Rapid Ride (“Company”, registered in Kenya as “Dhanur Enterprises Limited”), you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions:

  1. DRIVER REQUIREMENTS
  • You must possess a valid driver’s license and all necessary permits as required under Kenyan law.
  • Your vehicle must be roadworthy, insured, and comply with all regulatory standards.
  • You must maintain a professional and courteous attitude towards passengers.
  • You agree to adhere to all safety and service guidelines provided by the Company.
  • You agree to comply with the Company’s Code of Conduct.
  1. PLATFORM USAGE
  • You are required to use the Company’s platform for ride-hailing services.
  • You shall not engage in fraudulent, illegal, or unethical activities while using the platform.
  • The Company reserves the right to monitor your activities and take necessary actions in case of misconduct.
  1. SUBSCRIPTION FEES AND PAYMENTS
  • The Company operates on a subscription model rather than a commission model.
  • The Driver agrees to pay the Company a fixed daily subscription fee, as mutually agreed, for access to the Company’s platform and rider requests.
  • Payments shall be remitted to the Company’s designated bank account or mobile money account within seven (7) days.
  • The Company reserves the right to revise subscription fees with prior notice to the Driver.
  1. VEHICLE STANDARDS
  • Your vehicle must meet the Company’s eligibility criteria and undergo regular inspections.
  • It must have valid insurance and comply with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  1. DRIVER CONDUCT
  • You must comply with all traffic laws and Company policies.
  • You shall not engage in discrimination, harassment, or inappropriate behavior towards passengers.
  • The Company reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the platform in case of any violations.
  • You agree to abide by all of the the Company’s policies, including their Safety and Security Policy and their Data Protection Policy.
  1. ACTIVATION AND DEACTIVATION PROCEDURE
  • Drivers must complete the required registration and onboarding process before activation.
  • The Company reserves the right to deactivate any driver who fails to comply with policies, standards, or subscription payments.
  • Re-activation of a deactivated driver is subject to the Company’s discretion and compliance with necessary conditions.
  1. COMPLAINT HANDLING
  • The Company has a structured complaint-handling mechanism.
  • Drivers must cooperate with investigations regarding passenger complaints or policy violations.
  • Complaints against drivers may result in warnings, suspensions, or termination based on severity.
  1. TERMINATION
  • Either party may terminate this agreement with 7 days’ notice.
  • The Company may immediately terminate your access in cases of fraud, legal violations, or repeated customer complaints.
  1. LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY
  • You are responsible for your actions while providing services.
  • You agree to indemnify the Company against any claims, losses, or damages arising from your conduct.
  • The Company shall not be liable for any loss, injury, or damage incurred while using the platform.
  1. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
  • Any disputes shall be resolved through mediation and, if necessary, arbitration under Kenyan law.
  1. GOVERNING LAW
  • These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
  1. ACCEPTANCE By checking the box, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.

When signed in as a Driver, one agrees to the above Terms and Conditions, including the Code of Conduct Policy, Activation and Deactivation Policy and Procedure, Complaint Handling Procedure, and Safety and Security Policy of the Company.

One also agrees to be bound by the terms of the Data Protection Policy, having read the same, understand my rights as outlined therein, and consent to the processing and sharing of my personal data as outlined therein.
